Hi-Vis Workwear & Safety Clothes

Acting as the first line of defence against work-related hazards, high visibility workwear and safety clothes are an essential piece of PPE for employees. As of April 6 2022, the new regulations surrounding Personal Protective Equipment at Work state that:

“every employer shall ensure that suitable personal protective equipment is provided to his employees who may be exposed to a risk to their health or safety while at work except where and to the extent that such risk has been adequately controlled by other means which are equally or more effective.”

Failure to comply with these regulations can result in criminal prosecution, significant fines and, in a worst-case scenario, a prison sentence. The Avansas collection of hi-vis workwear has a range of safety wear to keep you, your staff, and your business protected.

High visibility vests and coats

Typically used by those who work in refuse collection, traffic control, airports, and the construction industries, high-vis workwear means that employees are set apart from their surroundings. By day, their bright and vivid colours make them easy to see and identify as part of a team. In addition, the hi-vis vests in the Avansas range sport reflective bands so that, if the wearer is working by night or in low-lit conditions, they can still be seen.

Waterproof coats

Working in wet conditions is a health hazard and heavy rain can also negatively impact visibility. Our collection of raincoats includes those made from high-quality PVC and polyester, creating a waterproof barrier between the worker and the rain. In addition, they’re made in bright colours, so that employees can be seen, even in the heaviest of downpours.

Sometimes, employees will need protection from dust, dirt, and grime. In these instances, the overall is the king of work coats, offering top to toe protection. To minimise the possibility of contaminants entering the suit, these are fitted with ribbed cuffs and elasticated waists. For darker working conditions, they also sport reflective strips.
