Protective Workwear Clothing & PPE

As of 6 April 2022, the legislation surrounding the provision of protective workwear clothing and PPE by employers to employees has changed. Regulation 4 states that “every employer shall ensure that suitable personal protective equipment is provided to his employees who may be exposed to a risk to their health or safety while at work except where and to the extent that such risk has been adequately controlled by other means which are equally or more effective.” Those who fail to meet these extended standards could find themselves liable for significant fines or prosecution. At Avansas, we supply an extensive range of protective workwear clothing and PPE supplies, to help keep your staff safe, and your business compliant.

A trusted workwear supplier

Protective workwear clothing comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, according to the job. For those working in construction, items such as hard hats, safety goggles, and dust masks can mitigate the risk of injury and even some long-term conditions, such as mesothelioma. For environments where the levels of noise are considered to be potentially damaging, we offer high-quality ear defenders, which reduce decibels to a comfortable degree.

Safety Wear

For those working in conditions where visibility and protection are paramount, we offer a superb selection of work coats. Our hi-vis vests are available in a range of luminous colours, and sport strips of reflective fabric so that the wearer can be seen, even in the most unfavourable of environments. Lightweight and easy to wear, they can be worn over other clothing, so there’s no compromise on warmth or layers.

We also stock reflective overalls for added hazard defence. Durable and robust, they’re ideal for those who need top-to-toe protection, while still remaining visible at all times. Wet conditions can be equally hazardous, but our raincoats are waterproof and, like our other protective workwear clothing and PPE supplies, rendered in bright colours so that the wearer is visible, even in the heaviest rainstorm.
